MIKU EXPO 2016 China tour is seeking the best photographer! To promote the Miku Expo in China, a photography contest is being held with the theme “初音未来游中国” (Hatsune Miku Travels to China), where contestants are required to take a photo of their figurines or plushies, and need to include a landmark of China. Winners will receive awards from the organizer! Fans in China will get to meet Miku before the end of 2016! MIKU EXPO 2016 will be held in Shanghai and Beijing, delivering the best gift to her Chinese fans! As the tickets become available for pre-order, Miku Expo’s official Weibo and Wechat are also activated and keep reminding the fans, “Yes, this is real! Miku is coming!” Today, they have brought us an event that allows fans to celebrate together — “Hatsune Miku Travels to China!” This is a photography contest where contestants need to include a figurine or plushie of Crypton’s VOCALOID with a landmark or identical building in mainland China in the photo. Contestants need to upload the photo on Weibo along with the event hashtag and tag “Miku Expo Official Weibo.” Six winners will be chosen from the contestants. The awards include a figurine, concert-exclusive goods, and a signed t-shirt from the voice provider. What are you waiting for? Grab your camera, along with your little angels, and go outdoors!
Contest Details
Date: November 4th, 2016 (Friday) ~ November 17th, 2016 (Thurday) Prizes:
- First Prize (x1): GOODSMILE 1/4 Hatsune Miku V3 figurine (provided by Good Smile Company).
- Second Prize (x2): Miku Expo 2016 exclusive goods valued at 500 RMB.
- Third Prize (x3): Main visual t-shirt signed by the voice provider (provided by Crypton Future Media).
How to Join:
- Follow Miku Expo’s official Weibo at 初音未来EXPO.
- Upload your photograph on Weibo with the event hashtags #初音未来游中国 and #HATSUNE MIKU EXPO 2016 CHINA TOUR, and tag @初音未来EXPO.
- Include the title and the location of the photograph in your description.
Requirements:
- Stick to the theme of “Hatsune Miku Travels to China”, shoot photos that include Figurine/Plushie with China’s landmark or identical building. (Using MMD or AR will be considered as disqualified)
- Use only Crypton’s characters which are MEIKO, KAITO, Hatsune Miku, Kagemine Rin, Kagemine Len and Megurine Luka, it can be individual an photo or a group photo.
- Resolution no lower than 300dpi and use .jpg format.
- Do not add text on the photo. (Please enable Weibo’s auto-wartermark function in settings)
- Each contestant can upload up to 9 photos (max image number on Weibo’s single upload). Each contestant can only upload once, add on or re-upload is not allowed.
Qualification:
- Users who registered on Weibo and agreed with the contest’s terms and conditions.
- Photo content does not violate public morality and must be original. Contest organizer are not responsible for controversies generated from the content itself.
- Submitted photos must not have been published or involved in any other contest in the past.
- No revisions are allowed after submission.

The winning photo will be showcased in the “Hatsune Miku Expo 2016 China Tour Exibition Area” and also published on Hatsune Miku Expo’s official Weibo, Wechat, and website.
