Who is Huan Xiaoyi?
Huan Xioayi is a Chinese voice library developed by Boxstar for the new singing synthesis engine called Sharpkey. Earlier, YYB teased images of a MMD model for her, and now that 3D model is available for everyone to enjoy. Boxstar also uploaded a video of Huan Xioayi singing and dancing to a song called “极乐净土”.

MikuMikuDance (MMD) is a free animation software which allows you to create pictures and videos. It has a great amount of data available for you to use, from 3D models, effects, backgrounds and stages, and also to various pre-made motion data. It’s a great tool for beginners of all ages.
If you’ve used MikuMikuDance before, then you’re probably already familiar with how to download models from various sources and also with how it all works. But if you don’t, then don’t panic.
First of all, most MMD models come with a set of guidelines or terms of use, similarly to how most softwares do. Before you load the model into your version of MMD, you should always remind yourself to check the guidelines first. These guidelines are commonly referred to as “rules”.
The Rules
For this one, the terms of use are pretty simple.
- You cannot use this model commercially without permission from the author, that means that you cannot use it to make profit off of it.
For example, you cannot sell artwork that contains a picture of this MMD model, and you also cannot put this model in a video that you plan to monetize on YouTube if you didn’t get YYB’s permission for it. - You must always give credit to the author. If you make a picture or video with this model you have to state somewhere in the description or in the artwork itself that YYB created the model.
- If you would like to share this MMD model with your friends or family members, link them to the original uploads by YBB.
- You can add clothing to this model if you want and also share your edited work with the public but you must include the exact name of the original upload when you do either.
- You cannot put parts from this model on another model and provide a download for it.
- The modifications you make to the 3D model has to be in YYB style. You cannot make a LAT, Animasa or TDA edit of this model using YYB’s model’s parts.
- You also cannot use this model in a way that it can be harmful to society, for example using it to harass another MMD user or using it for political things.
The Model
YYB’s 3D model of Huan Xiaoyi contains enough facials for you to experiment with. There are 13 available for her eyes, 14 for her mouth, 11 for her eyebrows, and 14 miscellaneous ones listed as “other”. To name a few facials; it’s possible to make her wink, blink, smile and kiss, and you can also remove her outline and make her invisible.
Since Bowlroll and Baidu are different from DeviantArt or Mediafire, here’s a brief explanation on how to download the model files from either of the two sites.
For Bowlroll, it’s relatively simple. You just have to click the big red button that says “download”.
Baidu is a little bit more complicated, but once you get the hang of it, it’s just as simple.
When you open the page, you should see a folder called “MMD”. Click on that folder to open it.
When you open it, you should see a .zip file. Then you just hover over it and click the download icon.
