From VR, to “Hand in Hand,” to Mikudayo, SEGA Celebrates Miku’s Birthday in a Myriad of Ways

August 31st was Miku’s birthday! And to celebrate, SEGA, the makers of the Project Diva video game series, held nothing less than a smorgasbord of events!

First: Mikudayo Invades Game Center Club Sega Akihabara Shinkan (Again!)

First up, Mikudayo was spotted holding her own promotional events for Miku. It was announced a few days ago at a Magical Mirai exhibit that she would be appearing at the AEON Mall Makuhari Shintoshin, but then on Miku’s special day, she made a sudden appearance at the Club Sega Akihabara Shinkan in Akihabara, Tokyo! Despite the suddenness though, people still showed up in droves to take pictures.

“8/31 is Miku Day,” and the evil Mikudayo descended on Akihabara Club Sega Shinkan today. But looking both ominous and cute at the same time in some miraculous way, here’s how she looks dancing→”

“Mikudayo in all her soothing cuteness. Miku Day-yo.”

“Club Sega Shinkan Mikudayo, set 2”

“Miku’s inner Miku, enter Miku the Great (“daiou”)

And so ends Dayo-sama’s first round.

Then some guys came.”

“Mikudayo appearing at Akiba Shin SEGA. She sure performs her services with lots of energy to spare. She got pretty… close.”

Second: Magical Mirai Theme Song “Hand in Hand” to Be Added to Project DIVA Arcade!

SEGA announced that two new songs will be added to Project DIVA Arcade. They are “LOL -lots of laugh- by KeN, and the Magical Mirai 2015 theme song “Hand in Hand” by livetune! Now we all can experience the sensation of listening to “Hand in Hand” at the Nippon Budokan through Project Diva Arcade!

Third: Hatsune Miku VR: Future Live “2nd Stage” and “3rd Stage” Announced!

“Playstation VR-exclusive ‘Hatsune Miku VR: Future Live’ official site update! ‘VR: Future Live 2nd Stage’ and ‘3rd Stage’ confirmed!”

The Playstation VR game, Hatsune Miku VR: Future Live is scheduled for released on October 13th in Japan, and October 14th in the West. The series’ “2nd Stage” and “3rd Stage” are confirmed to be in production.

And finally, like always, the SEGA feat. HATSUNE MIKU Project official blog is distributing a special Miku 9th Anniversary wallpaper!
