A VOCALOTRACKS Song Contest for Megpoid’s 10th anniversary is Here!

Megpoid‘s 10th anniversary was on June 26th of 2019. The well known Vocaloid music label, VOCALOTRACKS, released an announcement that they will be holding a song contest for Megpoid’s 10th anniversary.

VOCALOTRACKS has given many details and specifics about this contest. The requirements for voicebanks are simple, all Megpoid banks are viable. The application dateline is June 26th through July 29th. The songs can either be new and unpublished or not, any genre is welcome. However, if the song is attached to another label and under specific copyright that it may not be able to used elsewhere, is not allowed.

Songs that are on CD’s are allowed, but only if the rights are available. If there are multiple credits to a song, only one person of that song can upload it. Music using anything that isn’t Megpoid is not allowed, even in harmonies or backing vocals.

Song requirements

In this announcement, the page has listed guidelines for what each song should follow. People who enter will need to register an account, giving their name, email and phone number. This rule is only for first time contest entries for VOCALOTRACKS.

The announcement also gives very detailed information about specifics of the song and file that the song will be on. The file must be in .wav format, in 16 bit and up to 44.1 kHz. The song file must be up to 65 megabytes and up to 6 minutes long. The lyrics must also be available in a .txt file. The thumbnail image must be up to 2500 x 2500 pixels, within an aspect ratio of 1:1. It is also the same with the full photo, but it can be varied depending on the site posted.

There must be credits of every person that worked on the song, especially of the copyright holder.

Every person has a limit of 2 songs.

The announcement also details extra notes, just for clarification.

Any information regarding anything of the song cannot be changed after the deadline. If you are under 20 years old, you must have parental consent before entering. You must apply for consent, and written consent is allowed. Finally, you need to be able to say if your entry or entries infringe on any copyright.
